What to Do When You Recognize Yourself Falling Out of Balance

Listen to yourself.

Listen to what your needs are. You may say, 'But I don't know what my needs are!' When you are quiet enough and come to the present, you will hear that quiet voice inside give you whispers of what you need.

Your quality of life depends on how present you are to it.

How can you be more present in your life?

Avoid multi-tasking and focus on one task at a time. Disconnect to what is a distraction and redirect your focus to what is most important to you.

Connect with your mind. We have, on average, 40,000 thoughts in a day - with 75% of them being negative. Seek out the good in all the messiness. Make decisions based on what will provide a sense of positive influence in your life.

Connect with yourself. Invest in self-exploration. Do you notice yourself feeling unsteady with various emotions? Check in to see if you're hungry, angry, lonely, tired? Nourish yourself in the ways that you need.

Connect to your body and check in to see if you are in physical discomfort anywhere and tend to yourself with tender, love, and care.

We all have little signs that speak to us throughout the day that show ourselves that we are falling out of balance. The only thing we can do is notice the changes and as they come up for us, don't deny the presence of it but acknowledge and identify how we can face the problem head on.
