When I first signed up with Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do, to be honest. I did not have a goal to become a health coach. I just knew that I needed to dive more into learning different aspects of what makes a healthy life. The past three years, I’ve been on a journey of self discovery to constantly improve my life, and to be the healthiest and happiest version of me. After researching all kinds of health and nutrition based programs, the curriculum with IIN spoke to me most and I wanted to learn more.
About a year and a half ago I moved into a loft in downtown LA that I absolutely loved right when I walked in. It looked much different than what it looks like now but I saw so much potential. I immediately knew I wanted a corner of my home to be a place where I can feel inspired and also relaxed.

I absolutely love meal prepping. If you’re new to it, it may seem a bit overwhelming and like a lot of cooking but with just a little bit of planning at the beginning of the week, you will be able to set yourself up for success.
Here are some of my key kitchen staples I like having stocked in my fridge and pantry to set me up for the week, as well as a quick plant-based recipe you can use for your next meal prep adventure.
Fitness and exercise don’t necessarily always come easy for everyone. Some people always grew up around sports; and being active and outdoorsy. Others not so much. I’m definitely the latter of the two. I didn’t play any extracurricular activities growing up (though I was on the swim team for two seconds in high school!). I wasn’t the kid who would spend hours outdoors in the summer time. This love for sweat and movement really only came to me (in a lasting way) about 3 years ago.
